Which exhibition areas are there?
Deutsche Bahn AG and IPM agreed to increase the exhibition space at the 5th RAILWAY FORUM Berlin 2017. The exhibition is divided into 6 areas now, which makes it easier for Deutsche Bahn to specifically search for innovative solutions and services.
Rail Vehicle Technology
The vehicle technology area showcases all major components of rail vehicles and their prefabrication stages. The exhibited range includes solutions for high-speed & regional trains, rail freight cars, locomotives and special vehicles. Components such as braking systems, car body solutions, drive technology, connectivity solutions, innovative materials, sensors, electronic & cable systems will be exhibited among many others.
Maintenance & Production Plants
All relevant solutions for railway production and maintenance will be presented in the maintenance and production plants area. Here are lighting solutions, lifting equipment & tools, workshop equipment, workshop stairs and working platforms, as well as innovative solutions such as production robots and conveyor technology exhibited.
Rail Infrastructure & Construction
All solutions required for railway network operation and maintenance will be presented in the railway infrastructure and construction area. In this section, there are solutions for the construction and maintenance of railway stations as well as for tracks such as ticket management, passenger information and communication systems, tunnel and civil engineering solutions, track construction, switches, rails and crossings, overhead lines, signals and controls, planning and engineering services.
Vehicle Interior & Services
Of great importance for rail service operators is the interior as it is communicating to the customer. Solutions such as tables and seats, toilet systems, windows & doors, interior lighting and decoration, ventilation & air-conditioning, cleaning and other services are presented in this area.
Systems & IT Solutions
IT solutions and systems for smooth workflow are crucial to ensure a company’s success for the future. The complex interaction processes of rail vehicles and tracks in the rail sector create special challenges. In this exhibition area, information technology solutions are in focus and innovative solutions for the digitization of the railway industry are presented.
The rail industry requires many other services. These will be in focus in one of the exhibition areas. Services such as innovative mobility services, office applications as well as consultancy, certification and expert services will be presented.
